Enabling Quicktags in WP 1.5

Not sure why they decided to do this, but Quicktags are disabled in WordPress 1.5 if Safari is detected as the web browser being used. Anyway, it’s easy to renable it. Simply open up wp-admin/admin-functions.php and edit it as described in this post on the WordPress forums.

The upgrade suprisingly took only a few minutes, and no problems that I can see. That is, except for the fact that my static pages i.e. About Me and Tech no longer look quite right. No matter – will start working on re-generating them later in the week.

Finally got around to moving my Coppermine photo galleries from coolsphere.org over to the syamsul.net server. It was really much easier than I’d expected! This is what I did: Create a new MySQL database and username for my new Coppermine installation on syamsul.net using phpMyAdmin Using phpMyAdmin on coolsphere.org, export the existing Coppermine gallery database into a .sql file Now import that .sql file into the syamsul.net database mentioned in Step 1 Copy (or if you know how, archive) the…
