Decades from now, 2004 will still be remembered for the natural calamity that led to one of the most massive losses of life in the history of humankind. I pray for the souls of those who left our lives so unexpectedly, and also for the families they left behind. But most of all, I also pray that mankind learns from the aftermaths of the tsunamis that human life needs to be cherished always, for it can so easily be snuffed…

After a few hours of work, my new website is online! Nothing like a new design to start the new year huh? Central to this website is a blog which is now courtesy of WordPress. Good thing there’s an importer from Blogger, or I’d have been in quite a fix! After a long vacation in Gold Coast (Australia) and Bali, I’m finally back in Singapore! It sure has been painful going without internet access for more than a week 😥 So much has happened in Singapore in such a short time…like the announcement about the year-end bonus and the first-ever Singapore Idol. Will have pictures uploaded in a week or two..once I get a gallery software up and running!
How quickly a term passes…before I knew it, the exams are over and I will no longer see any of my students in class – at least till 2005, anyway. It’s been an interesting year though, with many new experiences. I’ve learnt quite a bit from my experiences this year, and I hope my students got something useful out of my classes too. On another note, today also marked the last day the current principal, Mr Ong, addressed the school….
Phew, so many things happened in the past couple of weeks. Almost overwhelmed with work, the new iMac G5 was released, Malaysia’s former DPM was released, school kids were taken hostage, an Australian embassy was bombed, I did 3 weeks of in-camp NS and….my trusty Zire71 suddenly died on me! 🙁 Yes, yes the death of my old Palm probably pales in significance compared to everything else that’s happened in the world, but hey it’s really important to ME because…
