Finally got around to trying out this Mambo template tutorial using Dreamweaver and it’s suprisingly easy to follow! It’s no wonder so many free (yet well-designed) templates for Mambo are plentiful. Being a very un-artistic person, I doubt I’ll be designing a Mambo template any time soon, but I just might try converting a nice template or two into Mambo. Counting down to the June school holidays….

Sure, it’s on a theme that’s exactly the same as my blog’s, but I think it can go further. This tutorial should come in handy the day I decide to do it.

On Wednesday Apple updated its iPod lines with models that apparently boast dramatically better battery life, but most current iPod owners (like myself) probably won’t be upgrading, especially when our iPods still are just fine. Except for maybe the battery life. Though it hasn’t, strangely enough, been an issue for me. Now, it seems like iPods can get a big boost on battery lifewith these relatively cheap battery upgrades.

Netscape 3.0 was my web browser of choice way back when I first got on the internet way back in 1997, but as it went through feature bloat and bugginess with each update since then, I found myself using other web browsers more often, browsers like Opera, Safari and Mozilla Firefox. All systems go!

YES! Thanks to this tip on creating true static pages for WordPress 1.5, I have been able to get the About Me and Tech sections looking right again with just minor tweaking! Then I rearranged the ordering of the menu items in the default theme’s sidebar.php and..voila! It is all as it should be now. 🙂 BTW I also came across another way of adding static pages to WP over here.
