It almost sounds funny till one realises that it’s no joke, it’s real. While the game in question has not been identified, I can recall at least 2 incidents in recent years where gaming lead to deaths:

• A young man committed suicide when he was robbed of his EverQuest belongings
• Another young man died after a non-stop Diablo 2 marathon

Just a reminder of how powerfully addictive online gaming can be, and how dire the consequences it can have on the real world.

First, Apple announced that it was going Intel Inside.

Now, Apple’s released a…gasp!…multi-button mouse too! The Mighty Mouse!!

Reviews thus far (like this one by Ars Technica) have been fairly positive. I am personally enamored of the beautiful design: look ma, no unsightly wheel or visible buttons! But I’m not quite sure about the price, especially considering that it isn’t even wireless (Bluetooth).

I suppose I’ll just wait for reviews by gaming-oriented websites too – wouldn’t want a change of rodent to adversely affect my GuildWars gameplay experience.
